Families staying at our RV parks will have recreational opportunities on and off site. At Lake Tenkiller (often called Oklahoma’s clearest lake) you can rent a pontoon, try water sports with Paddle Tenkiller, or relax on family-friendly swimming beaches. For something truly unique, the Lake Tenkiller Underwater Dive Park offers an underwater world with sunken planes and boats to explore. On land, families can hike and spot wildlife like elk and bald eagles in the Cookson Wildlife Management Area or step back in time at the George M. Murrell Home. You can wrap up the day with great food and live music at The Deck at Cookson Village.

Fall Scenery
Lake Tenkiller is known for its vibrant fall foliage, where shades of red, orange, and gold stand out against the lake’s clear blue-green water and rocky bluffs. Peak color usually occurs in early to mid-November, making it a great time for scenic drives, hiking, and camping. Areas along Highway 82 and nearby Greenleaf State Park also offer excellent views of the autumn landscape.
